Artist’s Studios will be open from 10 am - 6 pm

Skagit Artists Together will host their 5th annual juried Studio Tour on Saturday & Sunday July 19th and 20th. Twenty-five selected artists from Mount Vernon, Sedro-Woolley, Conway, La Conner, Anacortes and Edison will open their studio doors and share their art with their northwest neighbors.

The tour will feature many local painters who bring their unique vision to life through rich compositions in watercolor, oil, pastel, Sumi ink and acrylic media. Tour the studios of Skagit’s glass and metal artists who often draw their inspiration from the land and sea. Enjoy stunning images created by fine art photographers. Browse through the studios of artists working in printmaking, ceramics, driftwood, basketry and glass art. Puzzle art? Don’t miss this tour!

This year Skagit Artists Together is delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with Skagitonians to Preserve Farmland. SPF will host their 13th gallery show and benefit at Seaside Gallery in LaConner featuring additional work by Studio Tour artists. The show will open Saturday July 19 and run through Sunday July 27th.  Proceeds from gallery sales will support the preservation of Skagit County farmland. Details about this show.

Please plan to dedicate at least one whole day to visiting artist’s studios. Better yet, stay the weekend and enjoy a special rate at one of the tour’s participating local hotels or bed & breakfasts. Take a break for lunch channel side in LaConner, enjoy fresh oysters in Edison or ripe berries from one of the valley’s many farm stands. Bring your friends and family, have fun, and don’t forget to take lots of art home to help you remember your Skagit Valley art weekend!
